Yes. TangleLift™ can be used on many medium- and long-haired dogs and cats. Always begin slowly and make sure your pet is comfortable with the tool.
The 9-tooth side has wider spacing for working through tougher tangles and compacted areas. The 17-tooth side is designed for lifting loose undercoat and finishing the coat.
The teeth have rounded outer edges for more controlled contact with the coat. However, the inner working edges are designed to separate tangled hair, so always use light pressure and short, gentle strokes.
It may help loosen small or moderate tangles. Never force the rake through a tight mat close to the skin. Severe matting should be handled by a professional groomer.
For best results, use TangleLift™ on a clean, completely dry coat. Wet hair can tighten existing tangles and make grooming more difficult.
This depends on your pet’s coat and shedding level. Many owners use it once or twice per week, with additional grooming during seasonal shedding.
It is primarily designed for pets with medium, long or double coats. It may not provide much benefit for very short or thin coats.
